It is difficult to identify the audience for this one. However, the text is complex even with the illustrations to help interpret it and the definitions of terms in the back matter. There is movement and life throughout, and the large font and white space help to create a visually pleasing book. ![]() The lush, detailed watercolors provide plenty for readers to discover. The paintings show a young boy and his dog as they explore the flora and fauna that populate both the river and the area surrounding it.
